If you’ve ever wanted a twin, you might find that you already have one at a museum. But we’re not really talking about actual twins but, rather, doppelgängers that just so happen to be hanging on a wall or standing on a platform. Don’t believe us? Just ask these folks, who couldn’t believe that they’d found their long-lost twin inside a valuable piece of artwork.
The Prehistoric Self
Drew Mansfield went to a science museum in Trento, Italy and stumbled on his prehistoric doppelgänger. It must’ve felt as if he was looking in a mirror! Hopefully, Drew’s had millions of years to figure out that beavers taste better when they’re cooked.
The Perfect Ringer
Go to a museum and you might come face-to-face with your past self. When this girl noticed that the subject in the painting looked exactly like her, that must have been one scary experience. But of course, she wasn’t seeing double. Even the hairstyle seems to be the same! Is this proof of reincarnation or are we grasping at straws?
The Renaissance Man
The resemblance is pretty uncanny. Plus, they’re both snappy dressers, but of course, this pic would look 10 times cooler if the guy in modern times would come back wearing a black shirt and tight red shorts.
The Byzantine Twin
Being fabulous feels good in any era, even though the painted man’s bent arm looks awfully painful. Fortunately, all music professor and author Ross W. Duffin had to do to nail the look was to pose exactly like him. Talk about picture perfect! He’s even got the beard for it, too.
