Martin Rosner has been creating hilarious comics with a super dark ending. But it turns out that there’s a complicated truth behind the laughter. You see, Rosner who posts his work on Instagram and the subreddit, Hot Paper, suffers from depression. So in his darkest hour, he gets by by using arts and comic books as a positive outlet to cope with his disorder. And if you ask his Twitter and Patreon followers, they’d all agree that his comics are just freakishly awesome!
Walk On Water
If only life was this simple, we could escape a burning boat by walking on water like Jesus. Sadly we’re not, but at least artist Martin Rosner has a good sense of humor about all those nasty obstacles life throws at us.
Pull The Plug
Boy! When they tell Martin to pull the plug, he assumes it means everything, doesn’t he? According to him, “this whole thing started because I decided to make a comic a day for two months straight.” It was his way to deal with depression.
Eye Of The Beholder
For Martin, “making these comics to me is like being able to say to my depression, even with you in the way I am still able to make something.” Now he hopes he can make a living from his comics at some point.
